How many Balinese strips and mud bugs do I need for my roof?
The below table is just and estimate. The quantity of materials needed depends on the roof design and roof pitch. In general the thatch can be installed on different spacings. We recommend a spacing of 80mm but can be increased to 120mm. If correctly installed both spacings will be waterproof. The below table is for square and rectangular hipped roofs only.

120mm Spacing: STRIPS REQUIRED FOR ROOF = length x width x 5
Hip Bundles Needed: HIP BUNDLES NEEDED FOR ROOF = Hip Length x 15
Terracotta Needed For Roof (Rectangular) = (Ridge Length In Meters x 4) - 3
(This will include all the ridge tiles and a 3 piece terracotta set - for the real authentic Balinese look)

We use Toll to freight the products from a factory to a Toll depot. We take full responsibility from the factory to the depot. All thatch is palatized to protect the products.
